SPRING ART FESTIVAL 2010 (Holualoa, Big Island)

This was my first time teaching in Holualoa. The hosts at the Donkey Mill Art Center was very gracious and made me feel welcomed. There were close to 200 attendees, both kids and their guardians. Among the many hands on activities like doll making, clay making, paper making, I hosted an origami teaching table with teachers Yuni "Unique" Kawawake and Daniel Sheinfeld. We folded Makoto Yamaguchi's 3D modular star, pipe cleaner flower, airplanes, cootie catcher, Won Park's flat tulip & traditional leaf, index card jumping frog and Yami Yauchi's Spinner printed with Bennett Arnstein's Spiral Graphics.
