LECTURES PLUS FOLDING! The 5th International Conference on Origami in Science, Mathematics and Education (5OSME) provides a platform for researchers, educators and artists to share and explore new ideas at the crossroads of origami, science, technology, mathematics, education and art.

5OSME will be held at the Singapore Management University (SMU), Singapore, from Tuesday July 13 to Saturday July 17, and is composed of two parts, the conference and the convention.

Conference (July 13 – 15) The 5OSME conference begins on the evening of July 13 with a welcome reception, followed by two days of concurrent sessions covering the areas below:

• Origami and mathematics
• Origami science, engineering and technology
• Origami and education
• Origami art and design

Two keynote lectures will be presented during the conference by Professor Erik Demaine and Dr. Robert J. Lang.

Convention (July 16 – 17) Following the conference is a two-day origami convention, with the following highlights:

• Folding classes
• Exhibition
• Origami design challenge
• Free folding sessions
